 Let us introduce The Lighthouse Project Team!

Lottie - Team Leader and Founder

Hi! I'm Lottie and I founded The Lighthouse Project in July 2019 after being on the carnival committee and being involved in community things, where I noticed the lack of support, events and activities for children and young people in the area. Despite growing up here myself, I hadn't really noticed the gap until I started sitting in rooms full of adults, planning things for adults and feeling a bit left out. So I drew up a massive poster with all my ideas on and took it to a public town council meeting, and that is where the project began! 

I am doing nearly all the thinking, planning, organising and doing for this project on my own all whilst being a full-time student at university and helping out at my family's business, so with that and the pandemic, the takeoff has taken a little while longer than I originally hoped but I'm optimistic for 2021!
